What are the Expenses Covered by TETA Bursary 2025?

The bursary will pay for various costs such as books, tuition fees, accommodation (whether on-campus or off-campus), meals, and transportation (if necessary). Successful or short-listed candidates will be notified by 3 December 2024. If you do not receive feedback by this date, please consider your application unsuccessful.

TETA Bursary 2025 Eligibility Requirements

You must satisfy the eligibility criteria set by the TETA to successfully apply for their bursary program. The following are the eligibility criteria for TETA bursary 2025:

  • Applicants need to be South African citizens or permanent citizens of South Africa.
  • You must be unemployed at the time of application.
  • You must either currently be in Matric or have completed Matric or NCV (L4).
  • You must either be studying or planning to pursue a qualification in one of the fields listed in the above section.
  • You need to be registered or planning to register at a recognized institution in South Africa, like a university, TVET college, or an aviation or driving school.
  • You must have achieved a minimum overall average of 50%.
  • Applicants for Commercial Driving Class II, III, and IV must have completed Matric.
  • Applicants for a commercial pilot License must hold a valid Private Pilot License (PPL).
  • Applicants for an instructor’s or Instrument Rating must possess a valid Commercial Pilot License (CPL).
  • Applicants for an APL must hold a valid Commercial Pilot License (CPL), along with an instructor’s and instrument rating.
  • Applicants for commercial driving must be able to swim.
  • Applicants must come from a previously disadvantaged background.
  • Your total household income must not exceed R350,000 per year.
