Applicants who are accepted will be required to sign a sponsor-provided agreement. Graduates must complete a work-back period equal to the number of years funded by the bursary.

Who Qualifies for the Astron Energy Bursary?

• Applicants must be South African citizens.
• Applicants must be younger than 35 years.
• You must be in Matric or have already completed it.

• Applicants must be pursuing their qualification for the first time and should not be repeating a degree.
• Applicants must be enrolled at a registered higher education institution in South Africa, including community colleges, private colleges, and TVETs.
• You must have attained a minimum overall average of 70% in your most recent full academic year.
• Applicants must not be employed full-time.
